Apples of the Golan (Les pommes de Golan)
Avant 1967, le plateau du Golan était un territoire syrien comportant 139 villages. Depuis la Guerre des Six Jours, le territoire est occupé par Israël. 130.000 Arabes ont été expulsés sans possibilité de retour.
Tourné sur trois ans, le film relate le quotidien des habitants de Majdal Shams, l'un des cinq villages syriens restants. Des pommes, de la musique, de l'amour, de la trahison et peu d'espoir pour ce peuple tiraillé entre nation et territoire.

Keith Walsh studied Film and Television in Galway and works freelance as a cameraman, editor and director. Keith has been making documentaries with Jill Beardsworth for TV and the silver screen since 2005. Together they founded Twopair Films in 2009.
Jill Beardsworth studied Film and Broadcasting in Dublin and works as a freelance editor and director.
