When the Boys Return

Since the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza in 1967, more than 650,000 Palestinians, most of them men, have been arrested and put in Israeli prisons. The number of political prisoners per capita is the highest in the world.

Thousands of Palestinian children under the age of 18 have been arrested and imprisoned by the Israeli army, on average 500-700 children are at any time behind bars. The film follows 12 ex-prisoners under 18 from the village of Beit Ommar and the Arroub refugee camp who meet every week for a rehabilitation program at the YMCA center in Hebron, West Bank.
